Financial Donations

NMFRC relies on financial donations from individuals, churches, foundations, and community groups to sustain our organization. We would be grateful for your financial support. To learn more about our scholarship funds, please contact us. An annual scholarship for a full-day preschool class is $5,000, while an annual scholarship for a half-day preschool class is $2,500.

Donate Materials and Supplies

We welcome donations of new materials and supplies, including:

  • New books for HOPE Academy preschoolers
  • Office copy paper and paper products
  • New clothing for Santa’s Workshop
  • Water in gallon jugs, juice, fresh fruit or crackers for HOPE Academy snack time or parent workshops
  • Paint, crayons, craft paper, glue sticks, markers
  • Paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, sanitizing wipes, etc.
  • Kleenex
  • Kitchen cookware and utensils for our new kitchen
  • Ruled paper, pencils, composition books,etc for our After School program

Spread the Word

Spread the word to encourage others to support the NMFRC!

  • Like NMFRC on Facebook.
  • Ask a friend to attend a special event like the Pottery Crawl with you.
  • Persuade a group to which you belong to donate funding, materials and supplies, or time.
  • Support organizations that hold events and give a portion of their sales or door fees to NMFRC (for example, the bi-annual Chocolate Festival at Pinehurst United Methodist Church, the Concert Series at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Whispering Pines Thrift Shop, Emanuel Episcopal Thrift Shop).
  • Invite Executive Director, Clare Ruggles to make a presentation to your group.
  • Shop with smile.amazon.com or other sites which will give a fraction of your bill to the charity of your choice. (Make NMFRC the charity of your choice!)
  • Make HOPE Academy your school of choice at Harris Teeter. Code number: 3854

Volunteer 

  • Organize a fund-raising activity among your friends or organization
  • Help keep the NMFRC van clean and maintained
  • Deliver donated books to NMFRC
  • Restock the neighborhood Little Free Libraries
  • Hold a new clothing drive for Santa’s Workshop
  • Help sort, arrange, and set up clothes and toys for Santa’s Workshop
  • Help parents select and wrap items in Santa’s Workshop
  • Volunteer at our annual Pottery Crawl fundraiser on May
  • Help us prepare a mailing
